POHLAD FAMILY FOUNDATION SUPPORTS MINNESOTA TWINS COMMUNITY FUND
Twins Fields for Kids program helps renovate youth baseball and softball fields in region
MINNEAPOLIS – June 5, 2003 — Directors of the Carl and Eloise Pohlad Family Foundation approved a $50,000 grant to support the Minnesota Twins Community Fund’s Twins Fields for Kids program. This supports augments other support raised by the Community Fund for the program.
Twins Fields for Kids makes cash contributions for safety improvements to youth baseball and softball fields in the Upper Midwest. 2003 grant support from the Pohlad Family Foundation will assist 12 organizations with youth baseball and softball field renovations. A list of these grantees, city, state and grant amounts follows.
City of Argyle; Argyle, MN: $5,000
Independent School District 876; Annandale, MN: $2,750
Independent School District 2683; Greenbush, MN: $3,000
Independent School District 599; Fertile, MN: $5,000
Independent School District 740; Melrose, MN: $5,000
City of Pequot Lakes; Pequot Lakes, MN: $5,000
Upper Tonka Little League; Mound, MN: $5,000
Glencoe-Silver Lake Community Ed.; Glencoe, MN: $3,250
Osage Park and Recreation; Osage, IA: $3,000
Lawton-Bronson Summer League; Lawton, MN: $5,000
Prentice School District; Prentice, WI: $5,000
Hatton Park Board; Hatton, ND: $3,000
